Welcome

It has been enjoyable meeting your children over the past week.  We will be having an Open House on Thursday, September 20 from 18:00-19:30.  I am looking forward to meeting many of you that evening.

Report Cards

The date for report cards going home has changed.  Report cards will go home on Wednesday, June 27.

Summer Attire

With the warm weather here to stay, please review the school dress code which can be found in the student agenda.  Also keep in mind appropriate footwear for the playground; flip flops aren't the best for running and kicking a ball.

Classrooms Care

Our class is taking part in the Classrooms Care program led by Scholastic Canada.  We are trying to read 100 books by the end of May so that 100 books can be donated on our behalf to a school in Canada that needs books.  Students have a tracking sheet to fill out once a book is read and we are keeping track of our progress on a poster in class.  Happy reading!

Ash Wednesday

The Ash Wednesday liturgy will take place at 9:40 on February 14th.  Everyone is welcome to join us.

Welcome Back

Just a quick reminder to make sure to sign the agenda each night after your child's homework has been completed.  For the first two weeks back, I will continue to make sure that your child has all of the necessary materials out on their desk to complete their homework before I sign the agenda.  Starting the third week, this responsibility will fall solely on each student.  As the year goes by, students need to take on more responsibilities.

Sing-A-Long

On Wednesday, December 20th we will have our school sing-a-long.  Our class is slotted for first block (start time about 9:30).  Parents are invited to join us to sing Christmas songs.  If you have children in other classes, please check to see which block they are scheduled for (block 1 or 2) as we all cannot fit in the gym, along with guests, for this occasion.
