Math Test

Due to the cancelled buses, the math test will be postponed until Wed., December 19th.  This will give us time to correct review work.

Math Test

All students will be having a math test on Tues., Dec. 18 on patterning.  We are in the process of reviewing for the test.

Grade 2 students will be expected to identify, extend, create and describe shape and simple number patterns which may be repeating, growing or shrinking.  Students will need to be able to explain what a pattern is as well as identify attributes in a pattern.  

Grade 3 students will be expected to identify, describe, extend and create shape and number patterns.  They will need to provide specific pattern rules.  They will need to explain how patterns are alike and how they are different.  They will also use charts and grids to represent and extend patterns.  Review questions can be found in the textbook in chapter 1. Students also need to know the definitions of: pattern, pattern rule, t-chart, attribute and skip counting.
