Language

For our first writing unit we will focus on poetry. Students will compose various poems in order to express who they are and what they see out in the world at this time of year. Students will learn about adjectives as well as synonyms and where to find them. In reading, we have started our UFLI lessons. We are learning about when to use ck, the graphemes sh, voiced and unvoiced th, ch, wh and ng. We will be reading short texts focusing on precise reading and restating the question in order to begin the answer.
