Food Bank

During these next couple of weeks, St. Philip will be collecting donations for the food bank.  Our donations will be displayed in the gym hallway.  Please have a look through your cupboards and donate what you can.  Thank you in advance.

Interviews

This weeks interviews will take place in the Resource Room (#111) which is down the hall from the Learning Commons towards the kindergarten rooms.

Volunteers Needed For Terry Fox Run

The school will be participating in the Terry Fox run this year on Friday, September 26th from 14:50 to 15:30.  If you are able to help out, please let me know via the agenda and I will forward your name to the teachers organizing the event.  Thank-you.

Thank you very much to everyone for bringing in their verification sheets so promptly.  Also, thank you for the boxes of tissues.  Our noses are grateful.

End of Year Mass

Our end of year mass has been rescheduled to Wednesday, June 25th at 9:30 at the church.

June Mass

The last mass of the year will be Thursday, June 26th at 9:30 for those who wish to attend.

Fun Fair and Talent Show

Our annual Fun Fair and Talent Show begin tomorrow at 4:30.  Students and families who ordered tickets have already received them.  Tickets are available during the Fun Fair if you did not order them.  

Chores For Peru

We are still collecting donations to help the children to Peru.  Students can bring in their earnings and place them in the collection jug at the office.  Thank you for your support.

Hair Donations For Cancer

We have four students in our school that will be cutting and donating their hair this Sunday to make wigs for those in our community that have lost their hair.  Thank you to all of you who have made donations to this cause.  If you are interested in learning about how you can help, please visit www.hairdonationottawa.com for more information.

Many Thanks

Thank you to all who came to help out with skating.  It was great to have the extra hands to tie skates and supervise the students.  Hopefully we'll get to do this again next year.

Curling

The students at our school had a great time learning about curling through the Rocks and Rings program.  We learned the basics of the sport and got to try it out in the gym.

Skating Clarification

All grade 4 students will be going skating at 1:20.  Grade 5 students in Mme Seguin's and my class will also be going at that time.  Grade 5 students in Mme Wojciechowski's class will be going at 2:30.

Skating

Thank you to everyone who has volunteered to help out with our skating day(s).  All of the grade 4 and 5 students will be skating in the afternoon.  If you have volunteered, please meet us at the rink at 13:20.

Agendas

A reminder that agendas need to be signed each day.  Your signatures indicated that the homework assigned was completed just as my signature lets you know that all agenda information was written down and that your child had all of the necessary items out in order to complete their homework.  If an item is checked off in the agenda, it means that the work was completed in class.  Thank-you for your co-operation.
