Swim To Survive

Please make sure that the permission form for Swim to Survive is completed and handed in as soon as possible. Students will need a bathing suit and towel. Goggles can also be brought if desired.

Language

Our focus in writing will be the descriptive form. Students will learn to clearly describe items by using the five senses. We will also learn about adjectives and generate word banks of adjectives for the five senses to aid in our writing. All writing assignments will be done in the paragraph form. We will also learn how to use criteria checklists to ensure that all parts of an assignment are completed. We will use the Tickled Pink and Green for Growth method. In reading, our focus will be making connections. We are also working on words with es, ed and ing suffixes.
