Sing-A-Long
On Wednesday, December 20th we will have our school sing-a-long. Our class is slotted for first block (start time about 9:30). Parents are invited to join us to sing Christmas songs. If you have children in other classes, please check to see which block they are scheduled for (block 1 or 2) as we all cannot fit in the gym, along with guests, for this occasion.

Agenda and Homework
It is time for students to take on more responsibility. Starting Monday, March 20 students will be solely responsible for making sure that they have all of the necessary items to complete their homework each night. I will continue to make sure that all of the homework is written down in the agenda and I will initial it once that has been done. The rest is up to each student. They know that the agenda is a checklist to use in order to complete their assigned work. Students have been made aware of this.

Ms. Meakin (O'Heron)
It is with great sadness that I pass along the news of the passing of Jennifer Meakin. Students at our school will remember her as Mrs. O'Heron. She was a teacher at St. Philip for many years and of her children attended St. Philip School as well. Those of us who knew her will always remember her jovial personality and loving spirit. She will be greatly missed. Below, I've included a link to her obituary which gives details about funeral services.

Boomerang Lunch
On Wednesday, January 25 the school will be participating in a Boomerang Lunch. This means that students are aiming to bring in a lunch which contains reusable containers and does not produce any garbage. Our previous Boomerang Lunch was very successful so, let's make this one just as good if not better!
